A major route for the early explorers as they headed westward in search of new areas to discover. The river snakes thru the Georgian highlands in Northern Ontario on the way to Lake Huron. At times it has carved its way below thru the rough landscape to depths of 100 feet and provides for scenic canoeing and fishing for many.
