Water - sparkling, shining and tumbling over rocks - will lure you to the Mountain Lakes region and lull you into a dreamy serenity. It`s a peaceful place of forested mountains, lakes, rivers and streams, clear skies and starry mountain nights. .

John's Comments

As one enters into West Virginia, the hills and valleys appear to be much more prominent. The scenery for those that like this make for excellent photographic shots. This is one of my favorite sections when driving to Florida.

John`s Recollections - 2009

This area is a continuation of the landscape one finds south of Pittsburgh. Large hills that have to be travelled over and thru valleys that do not follow straight lines. Beautiful country for many but as a driver you really need to keep your eyes on the road.
