John's Comments

Countryside is quite flat but the abundance of trees and lakes make for easy driving with many chances to look at views by the roadside. Quite pleasant driving with many locations to stop and explore the North Carolina cities.

John`s Recollections - 2009

Once you leave the mountains of Virginia the land flattens out, however during the trip to Charlotte there are many lakes, including well known Lake Norman. A very pleasant drive in this area where you see many smaller towns that have been built up as a result of the economic success in Charlotte.
