There are NOT many beaches in the Key West area but here is one of the best. If you can make it out to the platform you can even have a little bit extra. On the drive down to Key West from Miami, beaches are not that prominent and even if you find one it will be more than likely not that large. This beach in Key West attracts many of the visitors to the area.
