Key West - The Docks

The "Dock" area, or better known locally as Key West Blight has many outdoor restaurants, shopping and great places to spend the afternoon. Most charters for the cruises are also located in this area. Close to downtown with a definite Key West attitude. There are many boats, with almost as many different shapes and sizes. Many of the restaurants here are next to the water and the docks.

John`s Recollections - 2009

The doc area (separate from downtown) is not that large, however there are many unique shops and restaurants. Here you can see up close many of the boats that provide nightly excursions or even fishing charters. A great area for walking as most items are small distances from each other and many of the restaurants have entertainment ( to go with the libations ). For many this may be a preferable area as the gulf water is always within steps.
