Upper Florida Keys

At the beginning of the Florida Keys. Scenic stops and locations. Take your time as it is a four/six hour trip depending on the traffic and stops along the way. The drive down to Key West is one of the best in North America, and stops along the way should be made mandatory so a real appreciation is made.

John`s Recollections - 2009

Just out of Homestead, Florida the scenery changes rapidly to where one can see the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico in many places. The water colors are very vibrant with many shades or green and blue. To me the drive down to Key West is a major item as many times the Ocean waters are within feet and the colors and fishing boats bring out the real character of the Florida Keys. Have taken the Catarman from Naples but to me the drive is a major part of the trip.
