Panama - El Valle, Rainforest

Only about an hour trip, but the closeness to the trees and river made it quite enjoyable. The path does traverse across swinging bridges, slippery rocks and wooden stairs not always in the best of shape. Take it slow and be careful on the walk, but if possible take it as it puts you close to nature and the small waterfall at the end is calming and actually quite nice.

John`s Recollections - 2009

Taking the only road thru the downtown area, and after a small climb up a rougher road we found the rainforest. Not as per North American standards as far as trail quality but it did give one a chance to enter a rainforest and see the abundance of trees with the sunlight rarely reaching the ground. The trail here is very rudimentary so many may not want to walk the slippery path with stairs that go up and down.
