Accommodation - Panama City, Panama

We found this place to be more than satisfactory for us, especially as we were there for a long term visit. It was quite close to all that thr vity has to offer, yet very pleasant just to enjoy the warmth and sunshine. Some interesting spots to visit close by were; two large shopping malls, grocery store's (all major chains), many casino`s, business district, many restaurants and of course the Panamanians themselves. It became quite easy however, to take the taxi rather than walking. In most instances a taxi ride may be two dollars and sometimes up to double that for 4-8 miles. Quite inexpensive, but one should know or be able to provide directions as all drivers are not conversant in English. While there were many great restaurants where one could have a great meal under $50 for two with a bottle of super Argentina wine, there were also many smaller restaurants where you could have inexpensive dining with a beer for much less than $10. We tried both many times.

John`s Recollections - 2009 Of all places we have stayed this has to be considered one of our favorites. Not because it was more luxurious, but rather the people, who became friends in a strange country. The location was close enough to walk to all locations in the city but taking a taxi was more than great as the cost was so reasonable. Did I mention that shopping for groceries within 4-5 blocks was an easy taxi ride home for a dollar. Another treat was likely one of the city`s finest bakeries across the street. Because of the reasonable cost we were able to take trips away from the city to more luxurious accommodations in the Santa Clara & Gamboa areas. Panama City Panama City area Picture Gallery
