Discover with us, why we found this area to be one that most would really enjoy. The economic downturn for most is not enjoyable, but for this one year it allowed a more affordable rate and we took full advantage of it.

1. Indian Shores: Our winter home and with a
superb beach on the Gulf of Mexico we were able to see the terrific sunsets. Many of the restaurants became weekly favorites, but for just a place to go to hang out for an hour or two, then visit Mahuffer`s Bar. Several other attractions in the area include the Seacoast Bird Sanctuary , and Boca Ciega Millennium Park, both which are included in our picture gallery.
2. St. Petersburg BeachHere is likely the where most touists visit when in the area, many great restaurants and first class accommodation. Also, just a bit more excitement, even the restaurants on the beach ( like Caddy`s ) appear to have non-stop entertainment. A drive thru Pass-A-Grille and a must visit to Fort Desota are great additions to a Holiday visit. You will also not be able to escape the view of Don Cesar`s , the pink palace hotel where Presidents reside while in the area.
3. St. Petersburg: Not on the beach, but still a very modern city. Home of the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team as well as the Sunken Gardens. A very pleasant and exciting downtown area to visit.
4. Madiera Beach / Treasure Island: All with Gulf of Mexico beaches, and a more business area, which includes John`s Pass, a very popular tourist area for shopping and entertainment.

Now for my perspective! "Great tourist region". Oh, you must visit Mahuffer`s, at least once.
