Winslow (Standing on the Corner) - Arizona

From the past not only comes a famous song, but also one of North America`s great railroad Hotels

John's Comments The Eagles record ( Taking it Easy ) with the words 'Standin' On A Corner in Winslow, Arizona' have brought fame to this small town, but the Railway hotel ( La Posada ) built in the 1930's is a reminder of great architecture of the past. Interesting past history of those that were born or raised during this periods. Off the Interstate, but the historical significance of "Standing on the Corner" was enough to drive a few extra miles. Some interesting shops and sites but a major highlight was viewing the Posada Hotel, quite expansive and with a lot of history.
