Panning for Gold

| John's Comments | Not an everyday adventure, but driving up into the mountains, sleeping with the bears, elk etc., helped to make this an overnight trip that will last a lifetime. Returning with real Gold just added to the experience, especially when one had to make that effort to obtain. From the crushing of the rocks, to the panning of the resulting sand tailings can be a time consuming operation. The final product (gold) however makes it very worthwhile and you have that urge to return to a prospector's life in search of the millions. Machines today, however, will allow personnal work efforts to be reduced tremendously. |
