Natural Bridges National Monument
Utah

Trip Planning logo

Natural Bridges protects some of the finest examples of ancient stone architecture in the southwest.

John's Comments The Natural Bridges National Monument is a small park area located in the South-East corner of Utah and you can drive to the sites that provide viewing from a distance. To see the bridges close up it is required that you walk on paths. Take a drive thru the Park, and stop at the scenic overlooks to view bridges, formed by the river erosion over thousands of years. One can walk to each of the bridge formations, so at least one should be attempted as you really do not get the full perspective of the size of the bridges without being close up. From the top vantage points the bridges do not seem that large but as you get close up using the walking paths the size will surely impress you.
John`s Recollections - 2009

Similar to the Arches near Moab but not quite the same. One could see actually driving over these bridges as the size is quite impressive. Park allowed for overnight stays but we were able to walk to one of the sites and see the others within several hours.
