Zion National Park - Northern Section Utah

The northern section of Zion National Park is quite different than the south section. Here the large hills or mountains become more noticable. The vegetation is quite different and a good walking trail allows you to see for miles, even as far away as the southern canyon.

The northern sections of the park are higher plateaus covered by forests.

John`s Recollections - 2009 Northern section of Zion was quite different. Grounds were much more open and rolling. Short walks allowed one to see the mountains of the main southern park & the number of people visiting were not comparable, however this made it very peaceful. and it was quite quiet and serene especially for one whose life is more centered on the city.
